Laser Urinary Incontinence

Laser systems have been used for years in the medical field. Today we have new laser technologies that can be used in gynecology. Age and time together with low levels of hormones (estrogen) decrease the amount of collagen and elastin in the skin which at the same time makes the mucous membranes lose its elasticity producing vaginal relaxation. Thanks to the precision and effectiveness of the Erbium Laser, we can repair the deterioration suffered by the natural aging and trauma generated by childbirth. This Laser provides a heat-tightening effect on the tissue capable of reducing the vaginal diameter by forcing the creation of new collagen type 2, improving the stress urinary incontinence symptoms. This laser procedure aims to restore the tension to the urethral and vaginal walls and at the same time eliminate the involuntary loss of urine.

In gynecological position, a special Speculum is placed inside the vaginal. The specially designed laser hand piece is introduced inside the speculum; this piece has a 90 degree gold refractor point that allows the laser beam to heat the anterior surface of the vagina. Several passes are performed in the urethral area to produce the highest possible stimulation of collagen. The procedure takes 15 to 20 minutes and does not need any type of anesthesia.
Many women suffer this condition, and there are many more that don’t face it and search for a solution. The improved function of the vulva and vagina, end up restoring their self-esteem and increase sexual pleasure and satisfaction in their relations. This treatment has better results than the FemiLift that is done with CO2 instead of Erbium Laser.

It is a simple and ambulatory procedure that does not cut tissue, produce no discomfort during or after the treatment, and requires no recovery time. Dr Herrera, with more than 20 years of experience as a a Gynecologist will make sure your treatment is safe and effective. Call for your free consultation.
